Art, Photography, & Exhibitions:

The Nine Art Planets: The Art Planets is an art installation to give visitors nine different emotional feelings, reflected through subconscious minds. Inspired by a variety of immersive artists, this is one installation you don’t want to miss.

Virtually Real: The most exciting experiences in virtual reality are not so much the ones that totally alter the viewer’s perspective of what’s real as the ones that are able to expand, augment and enlarge the real. It is in its relationship with the real, rather than attempting to substitute itself for the real, that the most original use of virtual reality is found. This is Virtually Real.

Wall of Fear: A strong and high wall awaits visitors at LEA 19: The Wall of Fear. Wall of Fear suggests the possibility of greater understanding, so face your fears and watch the surprising results and insights form. The Wall of Fear is brought to you by your first grade English teacher, Amalgamated Bank and Perdue Chicken.

Raglan Shire Artwalk 2013: Raglan Shire is hosting its 8th ArtWalk May 5th through the 26th, 2013. This three week, multi-sim art festival is one of the art grand highlights of the Second Life community. Come see residents show their artwork, reproductions of RL and SL artwork as well as virtual photography and sculpture. With over 100 artists and several thousand works, this is one show you won’t want to miss!

Sabbian Paine Solo Photography Exhibition: Inspired by music, poetry and a range of human emotions, Second Life photographer Sabbian Paine is presenting his first ever solo exhibit. His photos tell a deeply poignant narrative, with post-apocalyptic themes and intricate details elevating his work from the macabre to the sublime. Runs to May 8th.

Once Upon a Fairy Tale: Nestled among green hills with cascading waterfalls and hidden gardens, you will find a place to let your imagination run free. The sim has many secret areas and event venues that are perfect for parties or romantic occasions! Take beautiful SL photos in our magical setting or relax under starry skies on the beach with friends.

Echoes in the Garden:  “Echoes in the Garden,” is an interactive installation by Rose Borchovski on the “Susa Bubble” story. I hear echoes in the garden. Is anybody listening? I hear lost echoes in the garden! Is anybody listening? And they whisper: “The ones who are only living, are the ones who are only dying.”

Fantasy Faire 2013:  A Relay for Life event, the fifth annual Fantasy Faire runs April 20-28. Ten breathtaking sims that conjure up images usually reserved for dreams only. Shopping, live music, roleplay, and more await Faire visitors in the enchanted world of the Fairelands. Conjure the Magic! Finish the Fight! (Note: Event closed to the public until 6 a.m. Pacific time on April 20).

Fashion & Shopping:

Seasons of Couture: Fashion gets seasonal style at this limited edition store with clothing and accessories for men and women. Featuring creations from over twenty fashion labels, Seasons of Couture follows each season’s real life catwalk trends to bring you fashion collections both in style and on trend. Opens May 1st.

The Chapter Four: The Chapter Four is monthly shopping event that begins on the fourth day of each month. For ten days, explore unique and independent stores for exclusive specials and items, including a gacha event. So what are you waiting for?

Hunts, Games, & Puzzles:

Rabid Rabbits: Help the Goblins retrieve their sacred bunny statues from the Rabid Rabbits. Using the supplied game HUD, search the island, bash the Rabid Rabbits and collect all nine Sacred Statues. Return these cultural heirlooms to the Goblin King for a heroic prize. The quest runs through April, so don’t wait!

Mr. Hunter Hunt v.IV:  Once again, it’s time for Second Life’s premier men’s fashion hunt. Lost Treasure of the Inca Warrior: Do you have what it takes to find the warrior’s treasure? Embark on an epic expedition, solve puzzles and dodge deadly traps as you navigate your way through the Devil’s Cave and crack the vault to discover precious treasures in this mysterious and steamy setting. The treasure is waiting, go and claim it.

The Food Safety Game: Each year 50 million people in the USA get sick from germs in their food, and 3000 die. Be the Food Safety Inspector and do your part to keep virtual food safe. The Circus of Dreams: Roll up to the big top at the Velvet this May 4th at 11 am. Watch eleven DJs as they play circus-themed songs and clown around in celebration of the greatest show on virtual earth. This circus shall bring you the the surreal, the bizarre and the dreamlike as it evokes the origins of circus. So come, pay tribute to the sun god Helios with Circe the Enchantress. Join in the circle and welcome the summer in Velvet fashion, with great music and wondrous spectacle.

Full Permissions Fair at Old Europe:  Attend a special fair that brings the creators of full permission Mesh Sculpties and textures together in one location. View and buy at discounted prices all the new releases of full perm creations used by designers for their SL business including fashion,building components and more.
