This weekend, Relay for Life of Second Life, will celebrate it’s annual halfway mark of the season, with the Halfway There Fair! Teams who have earned awards at this point of the season, will be presented with trophies and there will be two days of music and fun!
A glimpse of Requiem
For this week’s Hidden Gems of Second Life, we will take a look at the cool sim of Requiem. I was told about Requiem from a good friend of mine, who goes here for 7Seas fishing. The sim is big on 7Seas fishing and holds a daily event at 2:05 pm slt every day. Requiem has not one, but FIVE ares to fish in, which you can find from their helpful teleporting signs as soon as you land.
SL10B, the community celebration that is in the midst of planning a huge birthday party for Second Life’s 10th birthday, has announced their first official contest. The contest is a photo contest, where users should submit photos that reflect the theme of the celebration, “Looking Forward, Looking Back.”

This year’s Virtual Ability Mental Health Symposium will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2013 and will have one hour sessions on various aspects of mental health, with an emphasis on treatment.
